Bloom 1/2 cup Cocoa powder in 1/2 cup of hot coffee or water
This means mi the cocoa powder with the hot liquid until it forms a paste.
To a food processor
Blend a scant, 1 cup of whole rolled oats to make a flour.
The proceed with the oat flour and add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor:
1/3 whole wheat or almond flour
The bloomed chocolate “sauce”
1/2 cup brown sugar (or maple syrup)
1 banana
1 can of drained, rinsed, black beans
1 egg
1/4 cup of ground flaxseed or chia seeds
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
Blend on high for 30-60 seconds
Then add:
1 cup crushed walnuts
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips and pulse a few times to combine
Optional: top with another 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
Baked in an 8 x 8 pan at 325° for 35-40 min or until set
